Version 1.0.0 Released

Version 1.0.0 is released to the marketplace.

This version adds two new unlockable towers:

- The mine tower creates a large explosion. Multiple mines will chain together for more damage
- The teleport tower instantly transports an enemy back to entrance for another run through your towers.

Both towers types allow the enemy to walk over them. Both tower types also need to be reloaded each time they fire.

Other changes include a "prevent screen sleep from activating" option, and a new end-of-game bonus that rewards points for unspent money.

  1. Like the idea, don't care for the implamentation. I think the walk-over types are worthy of their own button. It's not always possible to build a blocking tower where you would want a walk over.

Also, the arm purchase is kinda clunky, if you have a few it's pretty difficult to keep them armed, perhaps a delay re-arm would be better. AND if you decide to keep the arm purchase, the arm doesn't come back if you have it selected while it gets fired.

  2. I love your game, I am really addicted! :D

But I don't like the new towers, because of the "reloading". I would like to have a kind of Laser-Tower with a laserbeam :)

I also don't understand why helicopters and planes are flying always straight to their end-point. Why doesn't they fly the same way like ground-units. In all maps (expept the basic-map) it is always very difficult to protect all of them.

  3. Lukas, if the flying unit follow path, the game will be too easy, it's just good like this.

With this new version, I have stability problem, the system force Robo Defense to close after I win a game, when I click the spend point menu.

Althought I have buy mine but I can't find where to buy it.

  4. I forget, I finish two or three map with 300 to 400 unspent money and I see no new bonus.

  5. I agree with the comments about the new towers. The rearm is difficult to keep up with when on fastforward.

  6. damn you for making such an addicting game, i spend $50 dollars on games that don't keep me as entertained :) gj

  7. I get the money bonus, forget my last comment.

  8. so, how are they "unlocked". am I just not seeing them?

  9. Fully agree with Math. Walk-over "towers" need their own button. If not, you should think where to put them before closing the path... And it's quite anoying. Also I would enjoy a auto-rearm function besides the actual, even if they cost money to rearm or a little delay between them.

  10. Nacros suggested that flying enemies flying along the same path would make the game too easy, but that depends on whether or not other changes are made too. I do agree that most level designs are slightly "ruined" by the fact the flying enemies are on the screen for such a short time.

In the Nintendo DS game "Ninja Town", with a similar concept of building defences to protect a path, all enemies follow the same route and only certain towers/ninjas can shoot them down.

I do agree with the trap placement issues that people have mentioned above - I'd like to be able to place it in squares that would the game won't let me until I remove other towers.

By the way, I do highly recommend that DS game for anyone that likes this genre :)

  12. Well, I got the latest update v.1.0.0 build 1683, but I do not see any other towers available. How do you build these new towers?

  13. You have to buy them. 50 Mil and 100 mil i think.

  14. You can unlock the new towers at the archievments (the last 2 entries).

  15. Oh, I figured it out. Big fan of the game!

  16. Hi, I Have unlocked the mine tower but I can't find how to buy one during the game. Thanks for the game.

  17. I think that the mine and teleport towers cost more reward points then they are worth. Allowing auto-rearm might make up for it, maybe in conjunction with charging a fee every time the mine or teleport is used... just a thought.

  18. Same here. I have unlocked the mine tower but i dont know how to upgrade to it durign the game.
help. The game is too addiciting.

  19. I am also having difficulty trying to locate the newly acquired mine tower. I applied the 500,000 points I had accrued in the area where you purchase upgrades, but I don't see a new tower button during game play. Am I missing something?

  20. Same problem here...based on earlier comments, it would seem that you upgrade to mine towers from some other tower type, but I can't figure out which. How do I build a mine tower once it's unlocked?

  21. This is 2 months old but I just want to say I agree with the others. It's a bit annoying having to start out with an actual tower, since you can't place it right where you want it if it'll block a path. Also, rearming hasn't been an issue for me yet, but I haven't used the mine tower at all much.

And to everyone who can't find the new towers after unlocking them... wtf? There's only 3 base towers, how can you be that lost? They're upgrades to the slow tower!

  22. Zerxer, perhaps you can spell this out for those of us who can't find the towers. It's possible that we are truly lost, but to make sure its not a glitch in our version (I assure you we've looked pretty hard): which base tower type do you need to build, and how much does the mine tower upgrade cost?

    Thanks.

  23. The towers are an upgrade from the slow tower. You place a slow tower where u want the mine. Then upgrade it to a mine tower. Then arm it.
